Man Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center Dies After Single-Car Crash

A 44-year-old man who was airlifted to an area hospital following a single-vehicle crash has died.

Christopher M. Baxter, of Staatsburg, died from his injuries once he arrived at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, according to Capt. John Watterson with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.

Watterson said the crash occurred around 8 a.m. Monday on All Angels Hill Road in Wappinger.

An investigation into the crash is underway, he added.
